I once felt that was someone’s way of telling me not to get on my phone and scroll through social media first thing upon waking because that is what most teenagers do. But, as I’ve grown up, I’ve realized the importance of choosing to start your day off with something positive. Whether it be a silent moment to watch the sunrise through your blinds, or a prayer, or the quick jotting down in the journal on your bedside — it all matters.

In a sense, though it may be common and cliche, life is what you make it. It’s easy to let life take the reins, but conquer one thing at a time, and you’ll end up making your own way. A positive mindset can lead to positive outcomes. Choosing positivity and joy in the morning can sprinkle success throughout your days.
