Heart Of Gold

Story

Having a heart of gold means something different to each of us. When I think of someone with a heart of gold, I think of someone who is slow to anger and quick to love, who puts others before themselves, and who knows how to show patience and kindness even in the toughest of situations. I want this strap to be a challenge to each of you. I want it to be a challenge to remember to have a heart of gold even in the most difficult situations. Whether it’s someone cutting you off in traffic, your co-worker belittling you, or a classmate taking credit for your work. I want you to love them and show them kindness.  It’s important to remember that everyone you meet is fighting a battle and we may never know what they are truly going through at that moment. We cannot control others' actions, but we can control our reactions. Our reaction should be to show others grace and kindness. You never know when all someone needs is one positive interaction in their day to set them on a new course. No matter how big or small, be that person with a heart of gold that leaves a lasting positive impact on someone’s life.
