What’s the riskiest thing you’ve ever done? A real make-or-break moment? For me, I think it was taking this job. Well, not necessarily taking it, but moving for it. I’d always dreamed of moving away from my hometown, just eager for a change, but when this chance came along, I found myself frightened by the possibility of that dream becoming reality.

But, as I thought more about it - having already taken the job - I realized that if I were to give in to fear, and not take the risk, I would miss my chance at what could possibly be my dream job. So, I took the risk. Whether I’d fail or succeed, at least I’d taken the chance.

Now, almost a year into working here, I’m so glad I did. Had I turned down the offer out of fear, I wouldn’t have realized how much I love what I do, I wouldn’t have made the amazing friends I have, I wouldn’t have explored a new area of Texas as my home.

So, all of this goes to say: no matter what your fears tell you, don’t give them power over you missing a great opportunity. Sometimes risks are put in front of us because we’re meant to take them. Let this awesome wristband remind you of that always.
