Dare To Be Different

Stand out from the crowd, be bold, be unapologetically you; these motivational messages encourage you to never compromise a part of yourself. But this is sometimes easier said than done because, at the end of the day, it is a dare to be different. 

I happen to fit into most of the “standard” societal norms, so there aren't many times in my life that I’ve stuck out like a sore thumb. The most unwanted attention and biased treatment I’ve received was after coloring my hair an unnatural color. For something as small as that, people looked at me distrustfully or viewed me as unreliable. But all I need to do is change the color for that treatment to stop.

This wristband is for those of you that can’t simply change why you’re different. You were made to be just as you are despite what others might tell you. On the days you can’t stand proud, remember that you’ve already started coloring outside the lines, why not make a masterpiece they can’t ignore?
