Coexist

Story

Being nice is more than passing a small smile to the stranger in front of you at the grocery store. It’s more than thanking your waiter for a job well done. It’s more than sending a “hey, how are you” text now and then to a friend you know has been struggling. While these are all incredibly important for showing people kindness, it should be more than a once in a while kind of thing.

Kindness should be ongoing. It should be a constant companion in conversations with strangers, friends, family, and ourselves. We live in a world of all different types of people, and whether we get along with them or not, kindness goes a long way. It goes beyond childhood feuds or differing opinions. The only way to truly get through this life of “oh, we don’t get along” or “we’re not the same religion/political party/race/sexuality” is by being kind and coexisting despite all of the differences. 

We’re all in this world together for a reason. It’s important to bring kindness into every situation. Love exists above all else. Showing love can be as minute as choosing not to ignore that person you’ve never liked in public, or it can be as large as complimenting a stranger who you normally wouldn’t talk to because they’re different from you.

This strap is for everyone. It’s a reminder that even though we’re not all fighting the same fight, we all have a journey of our own, and we’re on it together.
